It started with a show...

Hey there, my name is Tora and I’m the founder of EZ NOIZE and host of the coolest Canadian music podcast Background Noise where I chat with tons of different Canadian musicians across the country. After talking to dozens of independent musicians, many of them came back to me asking if I knew of any venues in my area looking for fresh talent, this made me think there was a need for something to help independent musicians connect with small venues.

While working through my BBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, I ran this idea of EZ NOIZE through a few different projects and programs. This is where I got to sit down with some artists again and ask them what their current booking process looks like, and to no surprise, many of them were still cold-calling/emailing venues which is time-consuming and ineffective, or booking shows based on referrals, which can only get you so far.

It became apparent that there needed to be a cheap, easy, and effective way to connect both independent artists and small venues so that we could all make more noise!
